CAPILLAIRE. Toutes les espéces de cette plante se plaisent dans les lieux pierreux & humides. On les multiplie de plant enraciné en Mars.

Les capillaires sont apéritifs & adoucissans: on s’en sert à la maniere du thé, dans les maladies de poitrine pour favoriser les crachats. On en fait un sirop que l’on donne jusqu’à une once dans quelque liqueur appropopriée dans la toux opiniâtre.


MAIDENHAIR FERN. All species of this plant thrive in stony & humid places. They are propagated from a rooted plant in March.

The capillaries are apéritif & soothing: they are used like tea, in chest diseases to promote spitting. It is made into a syrup and given up to an ounce in some liquor suitable for stubborn coughs.
